The Mansion House has been the residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. It is located in the heart of Dublin City and is not open to the public.
The Mansion House has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Dublin since 1715. It has witnessed many historic events including the formation of the new Irish State and the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty. It has welcomed many international leaders, sporting heroes, stars of stage and screen and music. It has also been a family home for 300 years and has celebrated normal family occasions. It has been the centre of Dublin life for 300 years and is much loved by Dubliners who have danced, celebrated sporting victories, completed exams and celebrated Christmas at the Live Animal Crib.
As part of the 300 year celebrations The Mansion House are opening for guided tours on the last Saturday of the summer months with tours on the hour from 14:00 to 17:00. These tours will be held Saturday 30th May, Saturday 27th June, Saturday 25th July, Saturday 29th August and Saturday 26th September. The tours will be given by former Lord Mayors of Dublin who have lived and worked in the House.
