The oldest building in the town of Tralee, County Kerry, Ratass Church was one of the major religious settlements established under the Irish Church Government. The structures were built using wood rather than stone, so few still stand today.

The nave of the church is the oldest part, while the chancel was added in the 12th century. Visitors to the site won’t want to miss the west doorway, which boasts fascinating moulding, and the window in the east wall, which has Romanesque moulding. The church also houses an Ogham stone and cross-slab.
