Fota Wildlife Park, Irelands Wildest Attractions is just 15 mins from Cork City and is easily accessible via car or train as the park has its own railway station. Fota Wildlife Park opened its doors in 1983 and has had over 5 million visitors since, making it one of the top ten visitor attractions in Ireland. The park has endangered species from all over the world including cheetahs, giraffes, penguins, zebras to name but a few. What makes Fota Wildlife Park different from the rest? You come face to face with the animals as they roam freely around the park. The Park is also home to a Slí na Sláinte walking route. It is 2km in length and suitable for all levels of walker.
