St Patrick's Cathedral is one of the top visitor attractions in the city. It is the largest cathedral in Ireland and one of the few buildings left from the medieval city of Dublin. Inside there is a fascinating mixture of features including; memorials to some of Dublin's famous dead, beautiful gothic architecture, intricate stained glass windows and grave slabs from over a thousand years ago.
The Cathedral hosts a variety of events including visiting lunchtime Choir performances, organ recitals, concerts, historical re-enactments, talks on a variety of subjects and free daily guided tours. Most of these events are free but the normal admission charges usually still apply.
St Patricks offers free education programmes to visiting schools, universities and adult education groups. This includes free entry and guided tours can be provided and can be themed to specific topics.
