Stephen Hendry is the current holder of the B&H Irish Masters title. He beat Stephen Lee 9-8 in last year's final and comes to this year's tournament as one of the favourites.
The Scottish player holds many snooker records one of which is his 32 ranking tournament wins. Hendry first appeared at the World Championsips when he was just 17-years-old and was the youngest winner of the event four years later.
Hendry has been in consistent form this season. He began by winning the Liverpool Victoria Champions Cup and followed that with success at the British Open. The current World Champion competed well in China and at the UK champonships, reaching the semi-final of both tournaments. Hendry just missed out on victory in the final of the Thailand Masters where he was beaten by Mark Williams.
Having beaten Alan McManus in the second round, Hendry is now due to meet John Parrott in Saturday's semi-final.
