Steve Davis is one of the most familiar faces both in sport and entertainment. Statistically speaking, Steve Davis has done it all. The 'Nugget', as he is known on the circuit, has won 6 World Championship titles, all in the 1980s, and has a total of 28 ranking and 73 professional tournament wins.

Davis was the first player to complete a televised 147, that was in 1982 at the Lada Classic in Oldham, England.

The Englishman has the best record at the Irish Masters, winning the title on 8 occasions, the last time being 1994.

Davis had a good start to this season, beating some highly ranked players at the Victoria Champions Cup, and reaching the quarter-final of the British Open. Since then, however, he has not really impressed, failing to make the latter stages of any tournament.

The former world number one will begin his B&H Irish Masters campaign with a first round match against John Parrott.
