Clarke finally wins European Open
Darren Clarke claimed his first professional victory on home soil and became the first Irishman to win in Ireland in over 19 years by winning the 2001 Smurfit European Open at the K-Club this afternoon.

Respectable finish for Darcy
Eamonn Darcy signed-off with a respectable final round 70 for a two-under aggregate total of 286 in the Smurfit European Open at the K-Club this morning.

Harrington, Clarke in touch with Lundberg
It was all going so well for Darren Clarke - that was until he ran up a triple bogey seven at the dreaded 17th, while bright-eyed boy of Irish golf Padraig Harringon kept on smiling as he finished the third round of his European Open in spectacular style at the K-Club today.
