Find your ancestorsSFC Team News : Tommy Griffin has been moved from full back to midfield to deputise for the suspended Darragh Ó Sé when Kerry face Cork in Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final replay. Ó Sé was sent off in the drawn encounter for striking Cork's Pearse O'Neill.
Given Griffin's performance in defence against Michael Cussen last weekend, manager Pat O'Shea had been expected to draft in Eoin Brosnan to partner Seamus Scanlon and leave the Dingle man minding the shop.
However, Griffin has been moved out to the middle with Tom O'Sullivan again deployed at fullback, on paper at least, despite his problems against the giant Cork full forward in the past. Scartaglin's Padraig Reidy comes back into the team at left full back in an otherwise unchanged line-up.
Cork's Donncha O'Connor, meanwhile, looks likely to be reinstated to the starting line-up ahead after his red card from the first game was rescinded.
The attacker was dismissed for slapping Kerry defender Aidan O'Mahony but the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) last night overturned the decision and subsequent one-match ban.
O'Connor, who scored four points in the drawn match, was replaced in the Cork line-up by Kevin McMahon last night but Conor Counihan may yet revise that decision. The Cork side was otherwise unchanged.
Elsewhere, Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has opted to stick with the same team that completely overwhelmed Dublin in the last eight for their semi-final meeting with Wexford.
Harte's decision means both Ryan Mellon and Owen Mulligan will again start from the bench with the latter yet to make a first championship start this season.
And Wexford boss Jason Ryan also opted to stick with a winning formula, making no changes to the side that overcame Armagh on that memorable day at headquarters.
