Budget 2009GAELIC GAMES ROUND-UP: Kilkenny ended their Allianz NHL Division 1A campaign with a comfortable 3-22 to 1-08 over Antrim at Nowlan Park and head into the semi-finals as undefeated league winners.
Second half goals from Aidan Fogarty, Martin Comerford and debutant Damien Fogarty ensured the victory as the Cats didn't have it all their own way in the first period.
Both sides were on level terms going into the break, 1-05 to 0-08, after a goal from Paddy Richmond and further points from Paul Shields, Richmond and Liam Watson.
However, the second half was all Kilkenny as the Saffrons couldn't keep pace and the result means relegation from the top division for Antrim.
Elsewhere in the division Cork were narrow 0-22 to 1-17 winners over Wexford at Pairc Ui Chaoimh to ensure second place behind Kilkenny. Waterford were comfortable 3-18 to 1-17 winners over Dublin at Walsh Park.
In the day's only football action Dublin and Monaghan played out a 1-10 to 0-13draw at Parnell Park.
