'Cavalry' is a show of new paintings and drawings by artist John Conway. Each work portrays a group of riders or cavalry. These riders are harbingers bringing with them visions and associations for the viewer to decipher. Some are charging, some are floating but all of them are telling us something about the future and what is coming.We all have a growing fear of where the future is taking us. The recession in this country has continued for longer than expected. It has brought an ever growing despondency and disbelief in the political process. Maybe it's time to call the Cavalry?
