Aherlow Caravan and Camping Park is open all year round, this beautifully maintained site, offers a quiet and relaxing holiday. This five acre Caravan Club Affiliated Site is situated in the heart of the Glen of Aherlow, one of the most picturesque valleys in Ireland.
The facilities include large, level pitches, hard standing and grass, each with electric hook-up and water. On site there is an easily accessible heated shower block with immaculate facilities fully equipped wheelchair separate suite.
Also on site is a campers kitchen, laundry, recreation room, TV room and there is WiFi available. The small shop sells basic provisions. There is a dog walk on site for pets and the park is secured by electronic barrier. The pitches have full view of the Galtee Mountains, Ireland’s highest inland mountain range.
The surrounding area is a walker’s paradise with a four mile circular walk beginning at the Park entrance. There are two national loop walk trail heads in the Glen of Aherlow offering eight looped walks. There are lake walks to the five Corrie Lakes and unlimited trekking in the Galtee Mountains.
Also in the area are cycle trails for the enthusiastic mountain biker. Bicycles can be hired locally. Activities in the area include mountain biking, horse riding, golf and fishing.
The Park is centrally located within 300 metres of the Tourist Office, Coach Road Inn and Pottery Shop, also nearby are Hotels and Restaurants. The Glen of Aherlow Caravan & Camping Park is located 23 kilometres from the heritage town of Cahir, often referred to as the crossroads of Southern Ireland and just 26 kilometres from The Rock of Cashel. Just eight kilometres from the market town of Tipperary, famous the world over for the song It’s a Long Way to Tipperary.
