Claire Island’s beach surrounds the main harbour and is an ideal spot for swimming and exploring the shoreline. The beach can be found on the east side of the island, beside the harbour which serves passengers from the mainland.
Claire Island has an approximate population of 250 and is the largest island in the bay.
Lifeguards are not on duty during the bathing season but lifebuoys are provided on the beach.
