The park is located in Newtown, which is along the border between counties Tipperary and Limerick and located in the Glen of Aherlow, one of Ireland’s most picturesque valleys. Surrounded as it is by woodland and farmland, the park offers a quiet and relaxing holiday in a country environment.
The park is centrally located within 300m of the tourist information point, Coach Road Inn and Pottery Shop. It is also within easy walking distance of The Nature Park and Aherlow House Hotel. Because of its central location, Glen of Aherlow Caravan & Camping is ideally situated for touring holidays.
On-site facilities include heated shower and toilet block, camper’s kitchen, laundry, recreation room, TV room, Wi-Fi internet access and a small shop. The park is also secured by an electronic barrier.
The surrounding area is a walkers paradise with a four mile circular walk beginning at the Park entrance. There are two national loop walk trail-heads in the Glen of Aherlow offering eight looped walks. There are lake walks to the five corrie lakes and unlimited trekking in the Galtee Mountains, Ireland’s highest inland mountain range. Also cycle trails are available for the enthusiastic mountain biker.
The Park is centrally located with 300 metres of the Tourist Office, Coach Road Inn and Pottery Shop. There are a range of hotels and restaurants within a close proximity and bicycles can be hired locally. Activities in the area include mountain biking, horse riding, golf and fishing.
