    Election officials in Zimbabwe recount ballots in the rural district of Domboshawa, outside the capital Harare. Zimbabwe began a partial recount of votes from the March 29th elections on Saturday, despite opposition efforts to block it and widespread fears political stalemate could erupt into violence.     Chinese protesters outside a branch of the French Carrefour chain of supermarkets, calling for a boycott of French goods in Xian, in the Shaanxi province on Saturday because of anti-Chinese protests on the Paris leg of the Olympic torch relay and President Sarkozy's threat to boycott the opening ceremony.
