Wed 04 Apr 2007Bush and Democrats renew funding fight over troops in IraqUS:The US president George Bush and Democrats in charge of Congress clashed again yesterday over funding for the Iraq war, with no end likely soon to a battle over how long American forces will stay.At a White House Rose Garden news conference, Mr Bush attacked Democrats for going on spring recess without approving $100 billion (€75 billion) for US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, a day ahead of leaving for his own Easter vacation in Texas.
