Carribean Sunset looks the pick for Weld camp

CORK PREVIEW DERMOT WELD gives his high-class hurdler Bobs Pride a return to the flat at Cork today but the top trainer's best chance of a winner looks to come from Carribean Sunset in the fillies maiden.

Carribean Sunset mixed it with some smart sorts as a two-year-old but her best performance was when a 25 to 1 third to Lush Lashes in the Goffs Million race at the Curragh.

David Wachman pitches both Alliance and Amaranda into today's contest but Carribean Sunset has reportedly been working well in readiness for this.

Bobs Pride, last on unsuitable ground in the Champion Hurdle, has to concede weight all round in the mile and a quarter handicap and the concession of almost two stone to the 93-rated three-year-old filly Kitty Hawk Miss looks beyond him.

The classic generation usually face a tough task at this time of year but Kitty Hawk Miss won her maiden on testing conditions at the Curragh and is bred to like this trip.

Another Jim Bolger-trained three-year-old filly can go close in the six-furlong handicap as My Girl Sophie was impressive on heavy ground when winning her maiden at Leopardstown last summer.
