Find your ancestorsShamrock Rovers 2 Bray Wanderers 0: GOALS FROM strikers Alan Murphy and Dessie Baker earned Shamrock Rovers a win to move them up to second in the table as Bray finished with 10 men at Tolka Park last night.
Rovers might have been a goal down in the 12th minute but Pat Flynn cleared off the line from former Rovers striker Ger Rowe. A minute later Murphy got the vital touch to a John Martin cross to turn the ball home.
Within three minutes of the restart Bray midfielder Gary McCabe was sent off. Already on a yellow card, McCabe pushed defender Barry Ferguson away after a foul on Stephen Rice. Baker sealed the win on 65 minutes, skipping through from Darragh Maguire's flick to blast to the net.
SHAMROCK ROVERS: Murphy; G O'Brien, Maguire, Ferguson, Flynn; Martin (Purcell, 67), Rice, McGill, S O'Connor; Baker, Murphy (Doyle, 58).
