Find your ancestorsSigerson Cup: Tralee IT 0-16, NUI Maynooth 1-10 A second-half comeback saw IT Tralee wipe out a five-point deficit in the closing 10 minutes and overpower Maynooth in Tralee yesterday.
Maynooth, thanks to the midfield dominance of Seán Cotter and Ger McArdle, moved 0-5 to 0-1 clear in the opening 20 minutes, with Francie Magee a thorn in Tralee's side, kicking three points. On the stroke of half-time Maynooth's Niall Coyne netted as his side led 1-7 to 0-5 at the interval.
Tralee had cut the gap to two points, 1-10 to 0-11, by the 50th minute thanks to points by Paul O'Donoghue (three), Paddy Curran, Damien Wallace and Brian Scanlon and they then finished the game off in style with points from Scanlon (two), Declan Griffin, Curran and Marc Evans.
