Find your ancestorsLiam Brady has told Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger he wants to enter the race to become the Republic of Ireland's next manager.
Brady, who won 72 caps for the Republic, works as Arsenal's academy manager and head of youth development. He is considering a career move, though, and has broached the issue with Wenger. Wenger does not want to lose Brady, but would not stand in his way were he to be offered the Ireland job.
It is thought unlikely that Brady would be able to combine his current job with that of Ireland manager, due to the potential conflict of interest.
