Find your ancestorsLeinster Club FC/ Moorefield 0-15 Clongeen 0-9: Defending champions Moorefield strolled to victory in their opening defence of their title at Conneff Park, Clane, yesterday with Kevin O'Neill was at his imperious best and Patrick Murray pulled the strings up front.
Clongeen opened the scoring though a Gary O'Brien free. After 15 minutes the sides were level on 0-2 but Philly Wolfe landed a point to give Moorefield the lead and they soon established a 0-8 to 0-3 interval lead. Four points within 11 minutes of the resumption from Frank Hanniffy, Phillips, Wolfe and Kevin Murnaghan put the issue beyond doubt.
