Wed 07 Jul 2007Byrne provides a bit extraNational League Cup Quarter-finals: Bohemians 3 Cork City 2 (AET - 2-2 after normal time)Bohemians booked their place in the semi-finals of the FAI Eircom League Cup when a dramatic extra-time header by defender Dessie Byrne earned them victory over Cork City in an enthralling quarter-final at Dalymount Park.  The game seemed certain to be heading to a penalty shoot-out until Byrne got in the decisive header after a cross by substitute Thomas Heary in the 117th minute.
