Fri 05 May 2007Changes for World CupThe battle to tweak global rugby fixtures and attempt to harmonise the differing demands in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere is manifest in a change in the qualification process for the 2011 World Cup in New Zealand.The number of automatic qualifiers for the 2011 tournament will be increased to 12, thereby effectively guaranteeing the teams that finish in the top three in the four pools at the 2007 Rugby World Cup automatic qualification for 2011.
