Ferguson has always been loth to engage Mourinho in verbal warfare but last night he accused his rival of hypocrisy and talking too much. p

    Ireland's David Gillick gets up in the last few strides to pip Robert Tobin of Britain in a bumpy 400-metre semi-final at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham yesterday.
