Rich cocoa look isn't cheap

CHOCAHOLICS will love the rich cocoa bean tones used to decorate the bedroom at Fforster Square.

The vanilla sateen quilted bedspread sets a decadent tone. Needless to say this is a look that is tough to do on the cheap. Frette has one for €850 while Mastro Raphael is a high-end brand whose satinised bed covers cost a whopping €1,195 but play the part perfectly. Both are available at Bottom Drawer at Brown Thomas.

The Dalkey Design Company (01 2856827) is another good source for cotton stitched and scalloped edge bedspreads and stock pieces similar to the underlaying blanket.

Heritage Paints' Spanish Room, part of its Victorian collection, or Maroon, part of its Edwardian collection, will coat the walls in tones of a dark chocolate flavour.
