Find your ancestorsIsland Resorts Two years of free moorings for boats of up to 60ft are being offered for a limited time to people buying apartments in a development in Grenada in the Caribbean. The morrings, worth £980 (€1,405), are available in Grand Harbour Resort on the island.
Prices in the development start from £250,000 (€359,000) for a 144sq m (1,550sq ft) two-bedroom apartment. There is a rental pool option. The selling agent is Resort Group International (www.rgintl.co.uk).
Luxury apartments in two other Caribbean developments - one in St Lucia, the other on Anguilla in the British Virgin Islands - are for sale from €1.125 million through agent Chesterton International.
Both the resorts will include a hotel, beachfront apartments and recreational facilities when finished in 2010. They are being developed in partnership with Fairmont Hotel & Resorts and Raffles Hotel & Resorts.
Thirty-five "founders" package offers are available to the end of the year: they include a one or two-bedroom apartment, a plot of land with a building permit for construction of a villa, two golf club memberships and associate Jack Nicklaus golf club membership worldwide in the purchase price. These range from $1.1 million (€775,281) for one-bedroom apartments to $1.6 million (€1.127m) for two-bedroom apartments. A refundable deposit of $5,000 (€3,524) is needed to reserve one of these packages.
