Thu 05 May 2004Social centre staysChristchurch Residents' Association has lost its bid to overturn planning permission for the retention of a Portakabin to the rear of Adam and Eve Church on Merchants Quay Ireland's (MQI) premises in Dublin's city centre - which runs a homeless and drug users support service.Christchurch Residents' Association appealed to An Bord Pleanála on the grounds there is "an intensification of use" of the site due to the growing volume of clients - from 3,707 in 1993 to 39,212 in 2002.
