Find your ancestorsM&S prices: I think it's worth keeping an eye on a lot more M&S reductions to see if they really are reductions.
I often see items in the store, such as fresh meat or fruit, advertised as being half-price and wonder if they would ever be on sale in the store at the full price. Grapes on sale at €4.99 - there is no way the same punnet would be on the shelves at €9.98 etc. I'm going shopping on Saturday and I'll have a look for some items and then again in a few weeks and see. - Suzy Byrne
M&S is a demon for this sort of thing. It is also very poor at displaying prices properly on the shelves. If a price isn't displayed on an item, don't buy it and tell the floor manager. It's the only way they'll learn. - Europhile
Ikea sizes
Most Ikea kitchens and wardrobe units are made from chipboard either covered in wood effect or plain melamine and are quite well-equipped to do the job for at least 20 years as long as they are not left in a wet environment. I'm a carpenter and have been doing kitchens and wardrobes for 20 years now, and the stuff in Ikea is good quality for flat-pack stuff, but I have found the sizes units are supplied in do not always use space in the most convenient way for certain rooms. - Trigger
