Computers for schools: the TUI plan

The Teachers' Union of Ireland wants the following.

• Each classroom should have at least a laptop and digital projector;

• Classroom teachers should be released to support specific information technology strategy schemes;

• A laptop computer should be provided for every teacher in the State. It also recommended that the public should not have to collect vouchers from supermarket chains for computer equipment that the Government had failed to fund.
