Find your ancestorsA THREE-year-old boy who fell to his death off a dumper truck will be buried tomorrow.
Prayers were offered at Masses in Cork yesterday for Stephen O'Leary, of Inchirahilly, Crookstown, who died shortly before 12.30pm on Saturday. The boy was a passenger on the dumper truck when he fell, sustaining serious injuries. He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he died.
Local parish priest Fr Teddy O'Sullivan said: "It is very, very sad. He was just a little boy out with his dad. The family will need time and space to come to terms with this." Macroom-based Labour councillor Martin Coughlan said Stephen's death was a "devastating blow" for his family. He will be laid to rest after noon Mass tomorrow at Kilmurry Parish Church.
A 26-year-old man died in Finglas on Saturday after the car he was driving collided with a lorry at Ballycoolin Road at 9.20am.
Gardaí have named the 71-year-old pedestrian who died on Thursday when he was struck by a car on the N7 at Carrigatogher, Co Tipperary, as Thomas Butler, from Garretts Mill, Killea, Templemore.
