'Irish Times' appointment

Carol Coulter has been appointed Legal Affairs Editor. She joined The Irish Times in 1986 and worked as a reporter, deputy news editor and legal affairs correspondent.

Last year, while on leave of absence, she ran the Courts Service Pilot Project on Reporting Family Law. She holds a BA (Mod) and a PhD in English from Trinity College Dublin and a diploma in legal studies from DIT.
