9% rise in price of new homes last year

The average price of a new home increased by 9 per cent last year to €314,087 while second-hand homes increased in price by 6.8 per cent to average €375,577, according to the Department of the Environment's Annual Housing Statistics Bulletin 2006, published today. Login or subscribe for more.
