Sat 03 Mar 2007Cork docklands forum announcedThe €2 billion redevelopment of the Cork docklands is to receive national backing after Taoiseach Bertie Ahern announced a new national steering forum to help convert the area into a new centre for Cork city.Mr Ahern told a Fianna Fáil function in Cork last night attended by more than 500 people that the major development of the docklands area was one of the most significant projects to drive Cork's economic development.
