Thu 08 Aug 2006500km of road network could be motorways,claims NRAThe National Roads Authority (NRA) has claimed that continuing discussions between it and the Department of Transport could lead to the reclassification of up to 500km of the State's dual carriageways as motorways.Among the sections of road which might be reclassified on a "case-by-case" basis are existing or planned dual carriageways on each of the five main inter-urban routes, as well as some of the N11 and parts of the N18 along the Atlantic Corridor.
