Tue 05 May 2004Latest poll has FF's McDaid favourite for North-West seatA new opinion poll has made Fianna Fáil's Dr Jim McDaid favourite to take a European Parliament seat in the North-West constituency ahead of party rival Mr Seán Ó Neachtain.The RTÉ Questions & Answers/Irish Examiner survey predicted Dr McDaid would win 18 per cent of first preferences, 2 per cent more than indicated in last week's Irish Times/TNS mrbi poll. Mr Ó Neachtain got 15 per cent of the vote, 5 percentage points less than in the Irish Times poll, while Independent Ms Marian Harkin polled the same in both surveys at 16 per cent.
