Sat 05 May 2004Cork academic seeks to protect his claim to $160m legacyA professor has asked the High Court to dismiss proceedings which seek to prevent him making a claim regarding a $160 million fortune left by a woman who died in the US 20 years ago.Prof John Hall of UCC and Bishopstown Avenue, Cork, is being sued by businessman, Mr Jeremiah Dermot O'Regan, of Old Rectory, Crookstown, Co Cork.
