Fri 08 Aug 2003Census shows big rise in women with no childrenThe number of women aged between 25 and 34 with no children has increased dramatically since 1996, according to the latest census figures.Nearly 60,000 married or cohabiting women aged between 25 and 34 - some 38 per cent of the total number in this age bracket - are childless, compared to 28 per cent in a similar age category in 1996.
