Thu 11 Nov 2002Ahern sees 'uphill struggle' on fisheries policyThe Minister for the Marine, Mr Ahern, has warned that he faces an uphill struggle in negotiations among fisheries ministers over reform of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).The ministers meet in Brussels today to discuss the latest compromise proposal from the Danish Presidency, but Mr Ahern said there was little chance of agreement before next month.
