Tue 11 Nov 2002Budget focus on poorest families urgedBudget increases in social welfare benefits for children should be targeted at the most needy families, the Society of St Vincent de Paul has said.The society wants an increase in child dependant allowance, a weekly benefit paid to some 400,000 children whose parents are social welfare recipients.
