John McKennaargues that there are many ways to
take a healthy approach to food.In her fine book,
Dancing in the Streets: A History of Collective Joy, the
historian Barbara Ehrenreich notes that "suffering remains the
almost exclusive preoccupation of professional psychology. Journals
in the field have published 45,000 articles in the last 30 years on
depression, but only 400 on joy."
