Tue 06 Jun 2004More midwife posts urgedMidwifery reportA new report evaluating the effectiveness of specialist nursing and midwifery posts within the health services has concluded that there is a need for more of these posts to be developed.Since 1998 more than 1,500 nurses and midwives have been appointed to posts of clinical nurse specialist (CNS) and clinical midwife specialist (CMS). Just over 30 of these are midwives.
