five-year coalition deal, including a commitment to introduce a
carbon tax during the lifetime of the next government, write

Miriam Donohoe.If the deal is ratified at today's Green Party national
conference in Dublin, the Greens will join a three-party coalition
government with Fianna Fáil and the Progressive Democrats,
supported from outside by a number of Independents. The deal needs
the support of at least two-thirds of the delegates in order to be
approved. About 500 are expected to attend.
