Thu 05 May 2007President McAleese signs Criminal Justice Bill into lawPresident Mary McAleese last night signed the Criminal Justice Bill 2007 into law after a meeting of the Council of State that lasted over two hours. Deaglán de Bréadún, Political Correspondent, reports.Mrs McAleese decided not to refer the Bill to the Supreme Court after meeting the Council of State at Áras an Uachtaráin to discuss the issue, as required under Article 26 of Bunreacht na hÉireann.
