warnsEconomic growth will fall to 4 per cent next year, according to
the latest forecasts from the Central Bank. The bank also expects
that the economy will grow by only 5 per cent this year, compared
with its earlier prediction of 5.75 per cent.Tom O'Connell, assistant director-general and head of the bank's
economic department, said that the economy's performance to date
had been "pretty good".
