  • Returns up by over 17% in 2006 as market booms

    The commercial property market continues to boom. Overall returns grew by 9.6 per cent in the second quarter of this year and by 17.1 per cent in the first half of 2006, due to a resurgence in the capital value of offices and the continuing buoyancy in the retail property sector, according to the Jones Lang LaSalle Irish Property Index.

    The Kildare Village factory outlet facility just outisde Kildare town where 17 traders have opened for business Seventeen of the 58 fashion outlets planned for a new discount village beside Kildare town are now open for business but are attracting fewer customers than expected because there has been virtually no promotion for the new facility.  Jack Fagan reports.
