It now lays claim to 45 per cent of the cost of a new home, according to the president of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers.The State's tax take has also grown rapidly, tripling over the past seven years, stated the newly appointed institute president, Richard Nagel, who addressed the institute's annual conference in Cork last weekend.
