Find your ancestorsThe husband of an award-winning television make-up artist has been charged with her murder, British police confirmed today.
The body of Diane Chenery-Wickens, from Duddleswell in East Sussex, who had not been seen since she vanished from her home in January, was discovered hidden near a lane in Little Horsted, near Uckfield, on Thursday.
Police said 51-year-old David Chenery-Wickens, also from Duddleswell, has been charged with murder. He is due to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court later today. There was no immediate comment from him or a representative.
Chenery-Wickens won an Emmy for the TV mini-series
Arabian Nights in 2000 and was nominated for Baftas for her work on the BBC show
Dead Ringers in 2004 and 2005.
She had also worked on a variety of BBC shows and dramas including
Pride and Prejudice ,
The League of Gentlemen and
Big Train .
