Find your ancestorsA Dublin man pleaded guilty at the Special Criminal Court today to having a Kalashnikov assault rifle and ammunition in the city centre last November.
Denis Dwyer (23) a plumber with an address at Drumcarra Avenue, Jobstown, Tallaght admitted the unlawful possession of a Kalashnikov assault rifle and 21 rounds of ammunition at Camden Street on November 22nd last year.
The court heard that the State is not proceeding with another charge against Dwyer of membership of an unlawful organisation styling itself the Irish National Liberation Army, otherwise the INLA, on the same date.
The court remanded Dwyer in continuing custody until June when he will be sentenced.
