Vote irregularity claims in Zimbabwe election
17:27 Zimbabweans queued before dawn this morning to vote in the most crucial election since independence amid fears of election rigging and intimidation. Within an hour polling stations opening, there were claims that voters in opposition strongholds were turned away from polling stations. President Robert Mugabe faces the biggest challenge of his 28-year rule from opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai and former finance minister Simba Makoni. Polling stations have now closed and a full count is expected to take several days.
