  • 'Dutchy' Holland guilty of £10m ransom plot

    19:16 Patrick ‘Dutchy’ Holland - once accused of killing journalist Veronica Guerin - was convicted today of masterminding a stg£10m (€12.7m) "honey-trap" kidnap plot in Britain. Holland, who has always denied any involvement in the 1996 assassination of Ms Guerin, was secretly filmed and taped planning to abduct a businessman and keep him prisoner until a massive ransom had been paid. A lorry driver from Co Down was also found guilty of conspiracy to kidnap.
