Man charged over Tyrone death

A man was today charged with murdering another man who was found beaten to death in Co Tyrone.

Shaun Fitzpatrick’s bloodied body was discovered in an alleyway off the Donaghmore Road, Dungannon, Co Tyrone, early on Sunday morning.

The accused, aged 21, is expected to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning. Mr Fitzpatrick (32) was on his way home after a night out when he was attacked.

A postmortem has been carried out, but results are not being disclosed by police.
